happy monday! I stayed up wayyyy too late last night tackling sewing projects that weren't even anywhere near my "to-do" list. living on coffee and no regrets this morning though because I made the cutest little fur lined bonnet and it *should* have been on my to-do list ;) today we're getting cozy and enjoying the fact that it's dark at 3:30 (why does it seem like it's darker earlier and earlier each year? this must be part of getting older, yA?) and drinking tea and hot chocolate and making star shaped gingerbread. I've decided that we should just tackle every month like it's december - we seem to carpe diem a lot more and just scrap all that other stuff in lieu of just enjoying the day. that's one of the nice things this season does for us.
I put together a playlist of all my favourites - old and new and I wanted to share it with you! Mostly old though because I swear I should have been a child of the 1970's. I had the conversation the other day with a friend as to whether or not "your favourite christmas song" could include Carols (like hymns) and modern classics. I think we ended up with yes - for me it's too hard to decide between hymns and the modern stuff and if I'm listening to christmas music I like it to be a mix of both (although there are times when I'll just want to listen to a playlist of all the same genre!). If absolutely pressed I'd have to go with O come o come emmanuel as my favourite carol. And my favourite song, would mayyyybe have to be Mary's boy child (version by boney M!)
So without further ado, here's my current playlist! let me know if you enjoy it and if any of your faves made the cut!
