I missed the NY, but I think that's a good thing.
Usually I"m all about setting a strict list of goals of things I want to accomplish, But we've been so busy I never took the time to sit down and write them all out neatly in a list. Oddly enough, even though there are less lists I'm finding there's more action (So that completely blew everything I knew about goal setting out of the water).
Am I the only one? I feel like I've talked to a bunch of people who said 2014 just crept up on them, and they still hadn't really had time to process the fact that we're in a new year. Anyhoo, it's too cold here to really do much of anything except to run from your house to car, to building.
Yesterday it was so cold here, I just huddled under a blanket with cliff on my feet and worked literally from my "laptop." Winter is giving us a show this year. In the 5 winters I've spent in Ottawa, this one has to be the most snowy, cold and unrelenting. Right now though, I'm still OK with hibernating. Ask me if I feel the same way in February :)
But I still wanted to say welcome to 2014. I'm looking forward to this year for a bunch of reasons. It seems like it's a good year to eat less sugar, to travel more, to take more (good quality) photographs (iPhones are amazing but I seriously haven't touched my camera in months), and lastly, to save a little bit for the future. I'd also like to write it all out more. I've said before, I want to record more of just the day-to-day stuff, because it's always my favourite when I look back. So if it's all the same with you folks, I'm gonna ignore the fact that I haven't been super productive on the blog lately and just start over :)
